Odourisation - the safe odour
The Sewerin odour control
As a safety measure for the consumer, gases in the public gas supply must have a sufficient warning odour. Correct odorisation ensures that the gas takes on a typical, unmistakable odour and reaches the warning odour level before the gas concentration can pose a hazard.
DVGW G 280 (A) specifies a minimum concentration of odorant in the gas distribution network. This must be checked at least twice a year at representative points, as far away as possible from the odorisation system.
Sewerin offers a comprehensive service for regular measurements, also as part of a maintenance contract if required.
