The ATS testing device can be operated in three operating modes:

  1. Automatic operating mode: All due function tests are carried out automatically as soon as a device is inserted into the switched-on test device. Only the partial device status test must be completed manually by the user.
  2. Timer operating mode: The due function tests start at a freely adjustable time. If a measuring device fails the function test, the adjustment can also be carried out automatically by the testing device in
    these two operating modes.
  3. Manual operating mode: The function test is started by the user at the touch of a button.
    For the gas warning range, the function test can be carried out in two variants: with a test gas and time-saving display test or with a test of the display accuracy.

In addition:

  • Meter batteries are automatically charged in the test device. If the timer operating mode is set to overnight, the measuring device is tested and charged in the morning.
  • A log of all function tests is created and stored in the test device and in the meter.
  • Three test gas sockets can be connected to the ATS 503 and one test gas socket can be connected to the ATS 501.
