It is ideally suited for professional use in gas leak detection and gas measurement. It is used in particular by utility companies, network operators and service providers to reliably locate and analyze gas leaks in underground and exposed pipes and house connections.

The ^EX-TEC® HS 660 covers the following DVGW applications: testing of exposed pipes and systems, testing in/of structures, above-ground testing of underground pipes, soil gas testing, purging to verify gas purity/gas freedom.

Depending on the configuration of the sensors and the application, the EX-TEC® HS 660 detects methane, propane, butane, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide or oxygen.

The ^EX-TEC® HS 660 focuses on the areas of gas detection and gas measurement as well as ethane analysis. The ^EX-TEC® HS 680 can also issue warnings and is therefore suitable for other applications.

Like all devices in the ^EX-TEC® HS 6x0 series, the ^EX-TEC® HS 660 is explosion-proof in accordance with TÜV 07 ATEX 553353 X II 2G Ex db eb ib IIB T4 Gb, IIC when used with the TG8 carrying case.
