It is ideal for leak detection in gas and water pipelines, leak testing using the tracer gas method and measuring the hydrogen content in air or nitrogen. This device, which is tested for explosion protection in accordance with European standards, offers safety up to a hydrogen content of 5% in air or nitrogen.
The VARIOTEC® 460 tracer gas measures up to 100 % hydrogen by volume, with a high sensitivity of 100 ppb and low cross-sensitivity to methane (CH4).
Thanks to its high sensitivity and ability to detect the smallest amounts of hydrogen, it is indispensable for precise leak detection and leak testing in closed systems such as tank systems or sealed pipelines.
