As a safety measure for consumers, gases in the public gas supply must contain sufficient warning odor. The correct odorisation affects the gas such that it takes on a typical, distinctive odor which reaches the level of a warning odor before the gas concentration becomes hazardous.
In accordance with DVGW (German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water) G 280 (A), a minimum concentration of the odorant is required in the gas pipe network. This concentration must be checked at least twice a year at representative point as far as possible from the odorisation station.
SEWERIN offers comprehensive service for the regular cycle of measurements - by request, in a maintenance contract.
