Successful participation in WASSER BERLIN INTERNATIONAL and the WASsERLEBEN public exhibition

The international water industry has been meeting at the Berlin exhibition halls for WASSER BERLIN INTERNATIONAL every other year for 50 years now. The last four days of April this year were marked by an increased international dimension in the form of both visitors and exhibitors. SEWERIN’s sales manager, Andreas Schweitzer, was very happy: “The idea of the trade show has really really taken off. Many national and international trade visitors were extremely interested in our water leak detection products.”

Sewerin’s 200 m² stand not only provided information about state-of-the-art water leak detection and pipe and cable detection technology; visitors were also able to chat in depth to staff from SEWERIN’s product management, sales engineers and export managers.

Over the four days of the show, visitors also had the opportunity to enter a competition. Their challenge was to get the highest score in a special SEWERIN Jump'n’Run game on an iPad. The game, called "<link https: itunes.apple.com eg app leakys-world _blank external-link-new-window externen link in neuem>Leaky's World", is now available for <link https: itunes.apple.com eg app leakys-world _blank external-link-new-window external link in new>free download from the <link https: itunes.apple.com eg app leakys-world _blank external-link-new-window external link in new>App Store. As well as a daily winner, there was also an overall winner, which was announced on the last day of the show. The lucky winner of an iPad mini was Gerhard Gabriel from the Thaleischweiler association of municipalities in Rhineland-Palatinate.

By once again taking part in the WASsERLEBEN public exhibition, SEWERIN has reinforced its commitment to raising awareness - right from school age - about sensible use of our most precious commodity.

During guided visits, one of the tasks at the SEWERIN stand in hall 5.2 was to estimate how much water leaked from a hole 5 mm in diameter at a pressure of 5 bar in one hour. A special display showed three possible answers, and the young visitors had to decide which one was correct by dropping a foam ball into a pipe underneath.

At the end, sales manager Andreas Schweitzer could not have been more positive about the visitor response to SEWERIN’s efforts: “We have fulfilled our objectives for the trade show in the best possible way, we have had many fruitful conversations and established promising new contacts.”
